On 17 and 18 September 2026, staff of the Centre for Social Research (CSR) came together at the Centre for a two-day training session on Risk Management and Compliance. The training was organised by the Internal Audit and Risk Department of the University of Malawi as part of its university-wide capacity-building tour.
The training, facilitated by Mr Gilbert Nyong'onya (Department Head), Mr Clement Soko and Mr John Dzinyemba, focused on building staff competence in identifying, assessing and managing risks.
Beyond strengthening individual and departmental capacity, the sessions also contributed to the ongoing development of the University of Malawi Risk Register, helping embed risk awareness and good governance practices across the institution.
