The main objective of this study is to extract all cases of Gender-based violence reported in the major newspapers in Malawi, namely 'The Daily Times', 'The Nation'; 'Malawi News'; ' The Chronical and other relevant newspapers, in the period 1994-2004; to categorize and analyze the forms of gender -based violence reported during the ten-year period; to consolidate, analyze and repackage the information that has been published in the newspapers in the past ten years, and to produce a use-friendly resource-book out of the articles.
