HUMAN RESOURCE FOR HEALTH CENSUS

DR. ALISTER MUNTHALI Nov 2007 – Dec 2007 GLOBE FUND ALL DISTRICTS

The census was conducted to obtain HRH data in the form of snapshot picture of the current availability of number profiles, skill-mix, and distribution of trained health workers, including management and support staff, employed in registered public and private sector health facilities across all districts in Malawi. The data helped calculate and refine accurate and reliable HRH baseline data to facilitate effective sector-wide HRH planning, implementation, and monitoring, within the scope of the HRH framework.
